Trail & Streetscape Projects
Chester, Northampton and Philadelphia Counties, PA

Lotus Environmental Consulting is currently providing environmental services on a number of sidewalk and/or multi-use path/trail and streetscape projects in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania. The projects include rail to trail projects, sidewalk improvements, trails to complete networks, multi-use paths, and trail reconstruction. A few of our current or recently completed trail and streetscape projects are listed below.


Delaware River Trail, Philadelphia County, PA
Delaware River Waterfront Corporation

Lotus Environmental Consulting, LLC is serving as the lead environmental subconsultant for the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation proposed trail improvement project.  Overall, there are three project design segments, which each involve construction (or reconstruction) of the trail from Pier 70 to Penn Treaty Park.  We were responsible for the following for the environmental portion of the project: 

  • Wetland Delineations
  • State and Federal Wetland Permit assistance
  • Cultural Resource Surveys

202 Gateway Trail Project
Solebury Township
Bucks County, PA

Lotus Environmental Consulting, LLC served as the lead environmental subconsultant for the proposed trail connection project in Bucks County, PA.  The project was funded through federal Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funds.  Solebury Township is the project owner and the funds are administered through DVRPC.  Lotus was responsible for completing the following:

  • Level 1 CEE
  • Section 4(f) Evaluations
  • Threatened and Endangered Species Habitat Surveys, including Bog Turtle

Larry Holmes Drive and South 3rd Street PCTI Project,
City of Easton, Northampton County, PA

The purpose of this project was to improve the approaches and the intersection of Larry Holmes Drive (SR0611), SR 2026, SR2005,  and South Third Street in downtown Easton, PA.  Specifically, this included the addition and implementation of signal upgrades, curb line adjustments, sidewalks, pedestrian islands, crosswalks, plantings & landscaping, ADA ramps, guiderails, pavement markings, signage, milling and resurfacing,  utility adjustments, lighting replacements, and sidewalk improvements.

As a subconsultant for the project, Lotus was responsible for completing the following tasks:

  • Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
  • Public Involvement & Meeting Coordination
  • Completion of CEE Document
